{check out his new pointy teeth up top coming in!}
He has a new joke. He stands in our bathroom and waves hello and then shuts the door on our face. He thinks it is hilarious and giggles behind the door. He also does it when the bathroom lights are out and we are amazed that the pitch blackness never frightens him. Brave boy.
Do take notice of his ginormous toe. When he was born, the doc said laughing “I hope he’ll grow into this toe”. Ummm…not yet, doc. ; )
And as always, to keep it real…
Here he is, after mommy took over a hundred photos. He was DONE and let me know it with a wee meltdown by laying down on the floor kicking and screaming and then standing up and speaking his truth. ; )
So I took him to the beach to ease his melty downishness…

I have that same necklace and Isabella has those same pants. I may dress her up as Cedar for Halloween. hee hee.
Love his wee Edward Cullen teeth. xo

stace,
i'd love to see isabella as cedar and cedar as isabella for halloween. ; )
mighty m,
he is so used to the camera in his face that he usually cooperates without meltdown but today was an exception {see close up of pointy teeth coming thru…need i say more? : ) }

It's good to see he has a good strong set of fangs and knows when to bare them and growl in order to take care of himself when his boundaries are pressed! Guess you know where the line is, now, huh mommy?

I wish I could just be by a beach or good stream of water. what a neat place to go to whenever you want.

dear gemma,
yes…like i said, he is usually quite patient and playful with photo sessions and he was this entire one, except for at the end. he is in a tender space with teething and our heat wave. i simply posted this photo to keep it real and that it wasn't all smiles and faerie faces. ; )
i promise i don't make a habit of pushing his limits. this meltdown came out of nowhere, as do most at this age, eh?

oh he is such a sweet painterly faced angel…always hard for me to believe his is not of your blood because he couldn't be more your expressions, eyes, peaceful aura…just beautiful. I think, although maybe not good of me, my favorite is the image of him yelling. It's expressive and reminds me so much of an anime character…all water colors and bright loud emotion!!! I love it! And those little pants and nacklace just make him so much more cyber smoochable! he reminds me of a baby growing up in a kung fu monestary or something…so awesome. I randomly saw a beautiful baby girl named Maple on a friend of a friend's facebook page and my first thought was…"wouldn't t be grand if she and Cedar met someday…Cedar and Maple" One of our first boy name choices was Banyan Grove ^_^ I love tree names. So earthy and unique.

I adore these photos! I wish I could get photos this beautiful of my little daughter. What color are his eye? They are so reflective. I've been reading here for many months and I have to say your sweet boy has stolen my heart. I'm sure lots of other readers agree with me!

Such power in that roaring face! I love his pure emotion – in all of it's forms.
September 30, 2010

love that necklace on him, what a little dude. He is such a "boy" now isn't he – he looks suddenly so much more grown up than just a few weeks or months ago – I guess it's the height and the teeth!!
How is he doing with his eating these days – I remember you said that he had some dietary issues and was quite fussy when he first started on solids – is he enjoying it anymore now ?
Love the love the shines through these photos – he's not scared of the dark, nor afraid to let you know when he has had enough because he knows you are always there for him, empathising with him and he is growing up to be secure in the love his family have for him, and in that, he is one very lucky little man.

My god, this is awesome!!!
Turtle was never afraid of the dark either, she still isn't. yey! I remeber those slam the door in your face then laugh days! how fun, fun fun, these days are so precious, and they only get more!
i wish we lived closer, we'd totally have play dates!!
take care of you and fabu tribe! xoxoxo MBB

I am Cedar, here me roar!
I love that (most) children are so connected to what's inside and just let everything out. It is truly beautiful thing to be so connected. I can't believe your beautiful boy is already 22 months!
